Jessica is excited about mentoring students in making decisions to support wellness and healing.
Jessica moved to Arizona from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2009 to pursue a Nursing degree in Applied Science at Yavapai College. Having worked with a developmentally disabled population in the past, she found she had a gift for responding to medical emergencies with grace and competence, and decided to seek a degree in nursing after obtaining a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Sculpture. She was awarded the Nursing Student of the Year award in 2013. Jessica began practicing at a local inpatient holistic behavioral health facility that utilized Eastern and Western healing modalities through naturopathic, homeopathic, orthomolecular, and holistic detoxifying practices for adults and teens. Her first time working with the teenage population she found she appreciated addressing the issues and health concerns of adolescents and began working as a school nurse at a boarding school that specialized in behavioral health issues. Jessica felt deeply drawn to helping the female adolescent population and sought a more therapeutic environment that supported students and their families more acutely and holistically. Jessica is excited about utilizing her understanding of holistic psychiatric specialties, her passion for addressing issues specific to adolescent females, and is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the optimization of each student’s health.
